OfMe sends a photographer to you. Drop a pin wherever you already are in Winston-Salem, pick a session from 5 minutes to an hour, and a nearby photographer heads your way. Every photo is taken inside the app and lands in your private album as it is shot. The photographer never keeps a copy. Sessions start at $9.99.
OfMe is not open for bookings yet. Winston-Salem is one of the first areas we are opening, this page is up ahead of that, and we are not going to promise you a date or a photographer count we cannot back up. When it opens, this page will say so.
Coming soon to the App Store
Drop a pin where you already are and pick a length, from 5 minutes to a full hour.
A nearby photographer accepts and heads your way. You watch them arrive on a live map.
Photos are taken in the app and land in your album as they are shot. Rate your photographer, tip if you loved it.
If nobody near your pin is available, the request expires on its own and you are not charged. Winston-Salem is a compact city with a spread-out county around it, so a pin downtown and a pin out past Lewisville are not the same ask.
You set the spot, so a request can start anywhere in the area. The usual names are downtown and the Innovation Quarter, West End, Ardmore, Buena Vista, Washington Park, Reynolda, Old Town, Sherwood Forest, and out through Clemmons, Lewisville, Kernersville, Pfafftown, Walkertown, Rural Hall, and Bermuda Run.
The practical note: public sidewalks and public parks are fine for a short handheld session. Historic properties, private gardens, and ticketed venues set their own photography rules and some of them charge for a session. Ask first, because the street outside often gets you ninety percent of the look for nothing.
Wake Forest, UNC School of the Arts, Winston-Salem State, Salem College, Forsyth Tech. Five campuses in one small city means May and December are the busiest photo weeks of the year here. Campus rules on posed sessions vary, so the classic answer is the gates, the sign, and a good spot ten minutes away.
Old Salem in December and Tanglewood in October carry the card by themselves. Book twenty minutes rather than an hour if there are children under six involved. Everybody is happier.
Reynolda Gardens, the Salem Lake dock, or a quiet corner of Bethabara. Because an OfMe photographer shows up as one more person on the path rather than a crew with light stands, it stays a surprise until it does not need to be.
A city with a conservatory in it has steady demand for dance, music, and theater headshots. Downtown brick and the Innovation Quarter give you clean backgrounds without a studio rental.
Late October into early November is the two week window here, and it is worth planning around. Reynolda, Tanglewood, Salem Creek Greenway, or your own street if you happen to live under an old oak.
Salem Lake trail and the neighborhood parks. Five or ten minutes is usually all the cooperation you are getting, and that is exactly the size of the smallest package.
| Session | Price |
|---|---|
| 5 minutes | $9.99 |
| 10 minutes | $14.99 |
| 20 minutes | $25.99 |
| 30 minutes | $39.99 |
| 1 hour | $64.99 |
OfMe photographers shoot inside the app, so every frame lands in your album as it is taken. Every photo is encrypted in transit and in storage. Photos are never saved to the photographer's camera roll, and the instant your session is delivered our servers revoke their access, so the photos stop being viewable in their app. No stranger walks away with pictures of your family. That is not a policy we wrote, it is how the system is built. More on that in our Privacy Policy.
Photographers in Winston-Salem: if you shoot here and want paid work that fits around your own schedule, write to support@ofmephotos.com and tell us where in the area you are based. You take the jobs you want, and 100% of every tip is yours.
Not yet. OfMe is coming to the App Store and Winston-Salem is one of the first areas we are opening. We are not publishing a launch date until we can hold it.
You set the pin, so anywhere from downtown to Clemmons to Kernersville. Whether a photographer accepts depends on who is available near that pin at that moment, which is the honest answer for any on-demand service.
The request expires on its own, you are not charged, and you can try again later. Your card is only authorized at booking, never charged for a session that never happened, and that authorization releases on its own.
From $9.99 for 5 minutes to $64.99 for a full hour, the same as every other OfMe area. That is the standard price list. Requesting one specific photographer by name costs 1.5 times the list price, and extending at the end of your session is priced at 10 percent off the extra time.
Both are historic properties with their own visitor and photography rules, and the rules for a posed session are usually stricter than for a walk with your phone out. Ask them first. The public streets around both often get you the same look with no paperwork.
Late October into early November for fall color, and late March into April for dogwoods and azaleas. In July and August, book the first hour after sunrise or the last hour before sunset.
No. Photos never reach their camera roll, and their access is revoked the moment your session is delivered. See Support for how delivery, refunds, and reporting work.
